small town blues

Hello folks, i'm writing from a small village in New Mexico, where it seems very focused on the coupling up syndrome. There is a strong queer community, but again, very much partnered and monogamous in lifestyle. I'm finding it hard to create any kind of relationship here...I am intensely emotionally connected (read: in love) with a woman in town, she is in a monogamous relationship and is wanting to open it up to be with others, me included. Jealousy and rage from her girlfriend. No support from our peers. Its the Dont ask Dont tell policy.
I suppose i'm writing because i dont know how to live this open hearted without any structure, guarantee or label. Wow, its challenging to practice unconditional love.
And to stay loving, available and somehow i need to take care of my own needs for intimacy and sex, but i dont know how or where or any of it?!
Suggestions anyone?

i wish there was an easy answer. I'd love to be with the woman i'm in love with, but cant. And yet i cant seem to let go, move away and we still see eachother and reach for eachother...In the meantime i want some love and romance and passion and then i'm in a small town so meeting other poly folk means i need to travel to have dates! i'm trying to let go and move on with this woman as well. i do have other lovers that i can be with, but i believe in my heart she is the one. i live in Denver so there are quite a few poly females but it's frustrating because i think they think i'm just trying to get into their pants and nothing more. i wish sometimes if they just knew me, they would realize i'm not that way and who knows, maybe i can let this woman go and move on with my life.
